AltiTwo: Spring Training Notes and Tulo Comments

This week we took a play-by-play recap of Troy Tulowitzki‘s comments about his departure from the Colorado Rockies and the differences in his role between his former team and his new one, the Toronto Blue Jays. Which comments bothered you the most? Which were overblown and should be ignored? (Answer: all of them.)

We also talk about the impact of Jairo Diaz‘s torn UCL, impressive and unimpressive all-too-early Spring Training performances, and debut the Logan Social Minute. So far, Trevor Story, Tyler Anderson, David Dahl, Carlos Estevez (Wild Thing) and, Logan’s favorite, Yohan Flande have all been impressive this spring. Nolan Arenado and Raimel Tapia both lead the team with five hits in their limited appearances, but that has to get you excited for when Tapia and Arenado are in the lineup together. WHo has impressed you?

Next: Shortstop Battle: Week One

The shortstop battle has been off to an exciting start. Trevor Story, Cristhian Adames, Daniel Descalso and Rafael Ynoa are all in consideration for the starting spot and these next few weeks in Arizona is their proving ground. After Jose Reyes’ trial concludes, it’s likely that he will play less than half of the 2016 season, giving one of these four players a chance to grab the spot outright. Let’s see how they’ve done over the first week of Spring Training games;
