Swipe Left On These Colorado Rockies

Dustin Garneau. Garneau has been thrust into the spotlight after Nick Hundley went down for a few days with a neck strain, and hitting has been a struggle for the rookie catcher, who’s 1-for-9 over the last seven days and just 3-for-24 (but with two doubles!) in his big league career to date.

Justin Morneau. It’s obviously been a slow week back for Morneau as he returns to the Colorado Rockies from concussion-related symptoms. He was just 2-for-13 with four strikeouts entering play on Tuesday night.

Jason Gurka. Times have been tough for Jason Gurka, who was tagged for two runs on three hits in 0.2 innings this week. In three total appearances this year, he’s allowed six hits and a walk while getting just those two outs.

Yohan Flande. My boy Yohan Flande had his first truly bad start of the year on Sunday against the Giants. It happens! I still feel the same way about him being a long reliever in 2016 and the Colorado Rockies finding significant value in that.
