Cristhian Adames gets noticed in AAA

The Colorado Rockies announced Cristhian Adames was named to the All-Pacific Coast League team in AAA this year, after hitting .311 with 11 home runs and 51 RBIs as the starting shortstop/sometimes second baseman for the Albuquerque Isotopes. Good for him. He ought to be part of the Colorado Rockies’ long term plans.

The Rockies, in the short run at least, rewarded Adames with a call-up, and he’s gone 3-for-5 so far in Denver this month, including singling in the seventh inning Wednesday night and scoring on Carlos Gonzalez’s grand slam home run.
