One to watch (Jesus Tinoco): There’s more of the same for Jesus Tinoco this week, and it is all good.

The guy who supposedly was the least-prospectish of the bunch in the return on the Troy Tulowitzki trade apparently decided he’d prove everybody wrong, and in three starts for Asheville, he’s been phenomenal.

Including his great work on Thursday night against Greenville, Tinoco has now tossed 17 innings in Asheville, allowing just 15 hits, 3 runs, and three walks while striking out 18 hitters.

It doesn’t get much more dominant than that, and while Tinoco may need a good bit more development than Jeff Hoffman and Miguel Castro, he certainly isn’t a slouch or a throw-in on that big trade of Tulo.

Quick hits: Forrest Wall is fourth in the SAL with nine triples … Dom Nunez is tenth in the SAL in OBP (.372) … Carrizales, for all his work as a hitter, is also developing his power stroke; he’s eighth in the SAL in SLG (.451) … Carlos Polanco is third in the SAL in innings pitched, with 118.0 … Polanco also tossed seven innings of four-hit shut out ball against the Greenville Drive — the league’s second best team — on the road on Wednesday … And, Polanco is second in the SAL in strikeouts (99), while Sam Howard is fifth (94) … The Tourists have only ten home games remaining in 2015, and will go on a long road trip to end the season.
