Game 1 Friday:
Did you know Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki are a combined 0-15 versus Cubs starter Travis Wood? I predict both CarGo and Tulo will collect their first hits versus Wood in the first inning putting our Rockies on the scoreboard first. My gut feeling says that will only breed over-confidence and I can see the game slipping away from us.
Prediction: Cubs
Game 2 Saturday:
Practically everything went right for Rockies starter Kyle Kendrick in the season opener at Milwaukee. I even suggested trading him immediately. I hope he proves me wrong again.
Prediction: Cubs
Game 3 Sunday:
This will be one of those days much like the opening day of the season when both the bats and the pitchers (I heart Jordan Lyles) are at the tops of their game. To use the classic “wrong sport analogy to prove a point”, I figure the Rockies win by at least a touchdown.
Prediction: Rockies
