Jon Gray
The hype is there. The talent is there. The wait will soon be over. Jon Gray has been sending hitters back to where they came from quite a bit this year. Through 24 starts in Tulsa, the flamethrower has tallied 113 strikeouts.
Gray has had a few bumps in the road as he has progressed through the farm system, but still manages to figure it out over time and show why he was picked No. 3 overall in the 2013 MLB Draft. Maybe the middle of 2015 is a more realistic goal for a call-up; however, Gray’s competitive edge will have him competing for a shot at the Opening Day rotation.
