Rockies Lineup – July 22, 2012: Pacheco Catching

Thanks to last night’s extra-inning heroics, most notably from Tyler Colvin, a sweep will not happen in San Diego this weekend. However, the series win is still up for grabs, and wouldn’t it  be nice if the Rockies could take this one? It might even give them a little momentum heading into their 3-game set in Arizona. You never know.

Jordan Pacheco will don the catcher’s mask today, something he’s done only rarely this season. At the very least, I think we can expect him to block the ball quite a bit better than Wilin Rosario does, so there’s that. Dexter Fowler will get the day off. The Padres’ lineup is essentially the same as Friday’s, with the exception of John Baker in at catcher.
