Rockies fans will get their first look at Edwar Cabrera in a MLB uniform tonight as the 24 year old left-hander makes his debut. Cabrera made a name for himself last season, leading the minors with 217 strikeouts over 167 innings while going 8-3 over 26 starts splitting time between Single-A Ashville and High-A Modesto. This season Cabrera was 8-4 with a 2.94 ERA and a WHIP of 0.898 with Double-A Tulsa. He comes to Colorado with a plus change-up and average two-seam fastball, but needs to develop a third pitch to succeed as a starter, but has been working on a slider this season. Jordan Zimmerman starts for the Nationals with a tough luck 3-6 record to go along with a 2.89 ERA. Zimmerman lost his last start despite giving up only two runs over seven innings against Baltimore. He has pitched in two games at Coors Field in his career with a 1-0 record and a 3.72 ERA.

Marco Scutaro returns to the line-up after being hit in the helmet with a pitch on Monday.
