White has lost his last two starts, giving up 8 runs (6 earned) over his last 10 innings. He left his last start against Oakland after throwing 83 pitches over 4 innings with blister problems. This will be his first career start against the Phillies. Joe Blanton starts for the Phillies, and is coming off a one run complete game against the Twins.
