Rockies Line-up, June 13 2012
The Misery continued last night at Coors Field, as the Rockies dropped to 0-7 in interleague play and continued a six game losing streak. AL opponents have outscored the Rockies 52-21 during their second six-game losing streak of the season. Colorado starting pitchers have a 14.23 ERA during the current skid.
On a positive note, Tyler Colvin has been on a tear the last three games going 7-for-10, with four homers and he gets another start tonight. Carlos Gonzalez will sit out tonight.
Josh Outman (0-2, 8.18) gets the start for Colorado. Outman spent three seasons with the A’s before being traded to Colorado. He went 8-8 with a 3.75 ERA in 33 games, 25 starts. He began this season coming out of the bullpen for the Rockies and hopes to have a much better outing than his last start, where he allowed seven hits and five earned runs, while only lasting three innings. Since moving from the bullpen, Outman has allowed five earned runs in 6 1/3 innings in his first two starts. The Rockies are hoping Outmans’ familiarity with the A’s line-up can add an advantage.
