Even when things are going well for the 2012 Rockies, things go bad. Colorado will attempt to complete their first series sweep of the season and extent a modest winning streak to a season high 4 games, but they will have to do it without Troy Tulowitzki. Tulowitzki tweaked his groin and will sit out tonight’s game and possibly end up on the disabled list. However, if the hot hitting of Carlos Gonzalez and Dexter Fowler continue the Rockies might not miss Tulowitzki as much as one would expect. I his last 10 games Cargo is batting .419 with 6 home runs, including the in last nights game. Fowler is hitting .469 with 4 home runs and an on base percentage of .541 in his last 13.

The big question that remains is the starting rotation, Jeremy Guthrie will get his fourth start at home and is 0-2 with a 9.92 ERA with 5 home runs allowed over 16 1/3 innings at Coors Field. Opposing Guthrie will be Bud Norris, in five May starts Norris is 4-0 with a 1.17 ERA. The Astros are 8-2 in games started by Norris this season, which is pretty amazing considering they 22-28 overall.

With  Tulowitzki’s injury Marco Scutaro will move over to shortstop and DJ LeMahieu will start at second base.
