facebooktwitterreddit

The Rockies look to take both games of the doubleheader after taking the first game 9-7. Alex White coming off his first win of the season gets the start in game two of the doubleheader against the Astros. In his last start White allowed four runs over six innings, but got enough run support for the victory. He is 1-3 with a 5.32 ERA in four starts this season. In two starts against Houston in 2011 White was roughed up giving up 10 runs over 10 2/3 innings. This will be his 5th career start at Coors and is 1-2 with a 7.23 ERA. Jordan Lyles will make his 4th start of 2012 and enters the game with a 0-1 record and a 5.29 ERA. Lyles has never pitched at Coors and has only faced the Rockies twice giving up 2 runs over 1 1/3 innings of relief.

A couple changes from game one, LeMahieu out Scutaro in at second, Cuddyer out Colvin in, and Nieves in and Rosario out at catcher. Todd Helton surprisingly starts the second game as well.
