Rockies Line-up, April 25 2012: Game One

facebooktwitterreddit

The Rockies look to bounce back after a disappointing loss last night, Juan Nicasio gets the ball for Colorado in game one of today’s double header against the Pirates. Nicasio has struggled in his last two starts giving up a combined 10 runs over 9 innings, after pitching a 7 inning, one run gem in his 2012 debut. This will be the first time Nicasio will face the Pirates in his career. James McDonald will go for Pittsburgh, he comes in with a 0-1 record over three starts, but like most Pirates pitchers he has pitched well, but suffered from a lack of run support.

Troy Tulowitzki starts game one and comes in with the best history against McDonald with a .444 (4-9) average. Cargo is in left field after getting three of the Rockies six hits last night, as well as driving in all four runs. With this line-up Jim Tracy almost looks like he has figured out how to stagger resting players, rather than resting all the starters in one game.
