Today’s Matchup – August 3, 2011

Leave it up to the Rockies to make Kyle Kendrick look like an ace. Kyle Kendrick?? REALLY??

The Rockies’ lineup made him look like Roy Halladay. who by the way, is pitching tonight. Can you say Phillies sweep? Although to be fair, last time Doc Halladay made an appearance in LoDo, the Rockies lit him up.

Seriously, though. THIS is the guy who shut out the Rockies. (Check out Blake Street Bulletin for more of these stats)

–Kendrick hasn’t thrown a shutout of more than five innings since May 28th of last year.
–Last time he threw more than seven innings? July 3rd, 2010.
–Kendrick hasn’t struck out more than five batters since May 2008.

Are you kidding?
