Well, I don’t know about you, but I half expected a meltdown last night.

Guess what? We got it.

Jhoulys Chacin pitched an absolute gem, and everything was looking like he’d get his first win since June 15. Huston Street came in and gave up a two-run home run to John Mayberry, Jr., then Brother Rex gave up the game winning home run to none other than Shane Victorino, who I’m guessing was already rounding third by the time the home run ball left the infield.

The worst news? The Giants lost too, so the Rockies dropped a great rare chance to make up ground on them.

Anyway, the Rockies will send Aaron Cook to the mound tonight. That could be good if we get the Cookie who pitched last week against the Dodgers. That could, however, be horrible if we get the Cookie who pitched against the Diamondbacks before that. The Phils counter with Kyle Kendrick.

Hey, we might actually win tonight. Unfortunately Jason Giambi can’t come in and hit three home runs off of him again.
