Today’s rubber match against the Padres features the 2011 season debut of pitcher Aaron Cook. Cook returns from being on the disabled list all season after breaking a finger on his right hand after slamming it in a door during spring training.

Clayton Mortenson will move from the starting rotation to the bullpen. Also, Greg Reynolds was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs, as well, while Jorge De La Rosa was officially transferred to the 60-day DL. Carlos Gonzalez will once again hit leadoff, as that has seemed to work for him and the team. Charlie Blackmon, who had a less than stellar Major League debut yesterday, will get the start in left field looking for his first Major League hit today.

Game #61: Aaron Cook (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. Dustin Moseley (2-6, 3.00 ERA)
