Morning Dump — Friday, March 11th (Scottsdale Edition)

It didn’t take long for the Rockies to make a decision on Felipe Paulino’s role. One day after he failed to impress the team’s brass in a start, they announced the decision to move him to the bullpen. Felipe has an overpowering fastball, but struggles to be consistent. So far this spring, he has shown the ability to shut down hitters for one inning and that’s it. The race for the fifth starter now comes down to Esmil Rogers, John Maine, and, of course, Aaron Cook.

"“They said I have an opportunity to be better in the bullpen and I’m ready. They told me to trust. That’s a big word in this organization. They told me, ‘This is going to work out for you, this is going to be the best thing for you.'” — Felipe Paulino"

Jordan Pacheco may very well hit his way onto this team. Pretty good for a player that no one ranked as a top ten prospect. Ian Stewart needs to get healthy.

I’m headed out to practice. Hopefully I will have plenty of video and photos uploaded throughout the day. I’m giddy.
