Yes, the times will be tougher without Tulo in the lineup. Some may think that big question Rockies fans face is who will take over the spot at SS or 2B depending on how the lineup is shifted. However, I believe that the bigger question is who in the lineup will pull up their socks and make a leap forward to take up some of the slack that will be felt from his loss.
You know the candidates and you know their histories, so there’s no way the Rockies are going to get a big time power surge from anyone in [...]

Hours after I called the Rockies’ season ho-hum, Ublado Jimenez makes history for Colorado with a no-hit, six walk shutout of over the Braves, the first no-hitter since 2009 when White Sox ace Mark Buehrle blanked Tampa 5-0 in a perfect game.
This is the first no-hitter in the 18-year history of the Colorado Rockies…and probably not the last.
Jimenez was assisted by Dexter Fowler, who made a stretching catch in the seventh, but otherwise earned this gem on his own merit.
Jimenez helped his cause in the fourth with a single to center, driving in Brad Hawpe for an RBI. Later that [...]
The Colorado Rockies, riding the arm of Ubaldo Jimenez and the red-hot bat of Carlos Gonzalez, continued their winning ways over the Milwaukee Brewers, but it didn’t come without torment.
Gonzalez, 24, made batting in the big leagues look easy. The left fielder scattered four hits in five at bats and scored two runs.
Ian Stewart, on his 25th birthday, belted a homer in the second and drove in Todd Helton in the seventh which should have effectively put away the Brewers.
An impressive Jimenez, hurling pitches in the high nineties all day, allowed one earned run on eight hits, while striking [...]
Saturday marks the second annual FanFest at Coors Field. Before the 2009 season the inaugural FanFest was for season ticket holders only. The second time around the Rockies have been kind enough to invite Mini-Plan holders as well.
The day is filled with self guided tours of the clubhouse and the Rockies own museum. The day also has four autograph sessions that will take place in the Mountain Ranch Bar & Grille, the restaurant the sits in the corner or the right field stands.
There are at least 14 players who are scheduled to make an appearance, whether to sign autographs, or be available [...]
The Colorado Rockies are experiencing a problem for the first time in their history. They have too much depth.
As they head into the 2010 season looking to make the playoffs for a second straight season, the Rockies have signed outfielder Ryan Spilborghs to a two-year deal worth $3.25 million according to the Denver Post.
Spilborghs was slated to be the Rockies centerfielder heading into the 2009 campaign until the team made the decision to have prized prospect Dexter Fowler make the jump from Double-A to the big leagues. On top of losing his starting job, Spilborghs struggled through a tough season. [...]
