I’m Michelle, better known as Rockies Woman. I’ve lived all over the place but consider Colorado my true home for many reasons, not the least of which is that I was in the 4th grade there when the Rockies came to town. I fell hard and fast, and my life has never been the same! After spending a few years teaching language arts in a New York City public school, I decided to turn my attention back to my first love, writing. I’m studying in the Master of Arts in Writing program at Manhattanville College and, while I enjoyed writing poetry and fiction, it quickly became clear that I most needed to find a way to write about my Rockies. I became editor of Rox Pile in January 2012 after leaving the site I founded, Rockies Woman.
