The Colorado Rockies will now need a fifth starter for the road trip to Chicago and St. Louis… who should it be? Is it time for the BIG prospect?

So after the Cincinnati Reds series, the Colorado Rockies are going to need a fifth starter — probably for their July 28 game, in fact. Who’s it going to be?

According to the Denver Post, the fifth starter — at least in the interim — could be any of the following, um, wonderful options: Yohan Flande, Gonzalez Germen, Aaron Laffey, John Lannan, and Jon Gray. What do we think about all that?

So, because I’m genuinely interested in what you think (your last poll made me write this, after all), I wanted to do another poll about the Rockies’ short term fifth starter options. Who do you want to see on the mound for the Rox come July 28 (or whatever day they end up deciding to use that fifth starter)?

Vote, vote, vote y’all:

As I always say — and you should do this — if you’re in on the Twitter game, hit us up @RoxPileFS, or me personally @BobbyDeMuro and we can debate it.

I love tweeting with you guys (and gals!), so please do join the conversation, y’all: who’s going to be the Rockies’ fifth starter? How long will he last? Is it Jon Gray time yet, or will my boy Yohan Flande be the guy?!

I’ll have more — specifically on Flande and Germen — tomorrow, because if there’s one thing I like talking about, it’s temporary fifth starters on a last place team at the end of July.
