Another installment of the Colorado Rockies Tinder-ish app is upon us, and the last week in Rockies baseball has been a pretty solid seven days.

More from Colorado Rockies News

The last week has been a good week to be a fan of (or a member of?) the Colorado Rockies. Winning a series in Cincinnati, sweeping a series in Philadelphia, and going five-for-six on the road is something you can’t complain about. And if you do, you probably hate fun.

So it makes sense that the Rockies should have a TON of right-swiping in our Tinder game this week, right? Well… maybe amongst the pitchers, but on offense… not so fast. Let’s see:

SWIPE RIGHT ON…

Troy Tulowitzki. Going 6-for-17 with two home runs is a good comeback – especially in the power realm – for a guy who had been struggling mightily relative to his outsized talent and expectations. It’s good to see him get back on track, and it’ll be even better if he can continue the fun longer than a few games.

Ben Paulsen. Two clutch home runs late in games this week that helped seal wins and give the Rockies much-needed insurance runs, and you should be swiping right all day on Mr. Paulsen. He’s forcing the Rockies’ hand at first base, and it’s a thing to behold.

Chris Rusin. As far as I’m concerned, Chris Rusin is the Rockies’ MVP this week. One run allowed across two appearances and 11.2 innings, especially since his start was in an emergency, and his relief outing was, well, in another emergency. Great, great job Chris, and you’re hopefully proving you should stay in the big leagues for an extended period of time.

Chad Bettis. He had a great start this week, which followed a great start last week. Bettis seems to be finding himself on the mound, and hopefully he’s the guy we all thought he would be about two years ago.

SWIPE LEFT ON…

Brandon BarnesAfter asserting himself immediately after joining the club last week, Barnes got two hits and struck out six times this week, cooling off a little bit from his gangbusters breakout. He’s still doing good things defensively, but any offensive help he can give would be great.

Charlie Blackmon. Like Barnes, Blackmon kinda disappeared this week, going just 1-for-15, though he did walk three times. I feel like Blackmon’s been on this list a lot – both good and bad – so maybe he’s having a streaky year.

Kyle Kendrick. It’s bad, man. Is he going to last the whole year in the rotation? Not the way he throws the ball in Denver…
