The Colorado Rockies are playing tonight in Cincinnati. Jorge De La Rosa is not. We’ll look at that, plus a bunch more stuff in Tuesday’s Rockies links.

More from Colorado Rockies News

With news now breaking that Jorge De La Rosa won’t be starting tonight in Cincinnati due to a cut on his hand, most Rockies fans have probably given up altogether (if you hadn’t already?) on any semblance of a normal season. No offense to Chris Rusin, but……. yeah.

Thankfully, at least for now, De La Rosa isn’t slated to head to the DL, but we all know how fast things like that can change. So, think good thoughts with JDLR as the Rockies would, ya know, kinda sorta need him to be healthy and effective the rest of the year.

Anyways, more links from around the league that have to do with the Rockies (and some other stuff!) here:

What’s Going On With Troy Tulowitzki? (Just A Bit Outside).

More than the maybe-maybe-not trade rumors and media drumming up of agent speculation, Tulo is struggling on the field, and JABO looks at it statistically, discussing his inability to walk and higher-than-usual strikeout rate. Is this the Tulo we will see from now on, or just a (somewhat lengthy) blip for an otherwise incredible player?

Player’s View: Kill The Win (FanGraphs).

So, statistical minds hate the win as a statistic to measure pitchers in baseball. Wins are often flukey, or at the very least, depend on too many factors outside a pitcher’s control (e.g., a pitcher getting a win after allowing six runs in six innings just because his team happened to score ten runs, or a pitcher taking a loss after allowing a run in eight innings just because his team was shut out). What do the players think about pitcher wins? Read on! Pretty interesting stuff.

Time, Inc. Acquires FanSided (Sports Illustrated).

Hey, a big thing for our FanSided network and this site specifically. Good work, FanSided, and keep it up! Oh, and keep the paychecks coming muahahahahahahaha. (But no, seriously, that’s a coup for FanSided and all of our properties, so things are going to get even better over here, and we can’t wait!)

MLB Draft 2015: New 1st-round projections show little clarity about what the Colorado Rockies will do (Purple Row).

This is something we will be covering more in-depth in the few days before the draft (holy crap, it’s already practically June) but Purple Row has a nice run-up of some things to think about regarding the Rockies’ draft picks and thoughts of pundits.

Ok, kids. Chris Rusin and the Colorado Rockies will take on the Reds tonight in Cincinnati. We’ll be covering the game and tweeting as we do it, so head on over to @RoxPileFS to follow along with the madness and the Rox try to extend a winning streak in Cincinnati and continue their road trip on a high note.
