Baseball America is asking for fan votes on the best logo in Minor League Baseball, and two Colorado Rockies affiliates are in the bracket.

Ahhh, the minor leagues. The place where weird stuff happens like bizarre giveaway days, or manager tirades, or crazy uniforms, all in the name of getting people in the seats for teams filled with (mostly) nobodies in often very small towns.

It’s perfect! The minor leagues are what baseball is all about, and I don’t care what you say. And, because the minor leagues can be a little out there, you often get teams with crazy names and crazier logos, like the Akron Rubber Ducks, or the Brevard County Manatees, or the Daytona Tortugas, or the Las Vegas 51s.

Baseball America decided to try to answer which of these clubs (and 28 others) has the best logo, so they are hosting Logomania 2015 over on their site, and you can go vote for your favorites.

Luckily, two Colorado Rockies affiliates are in the contest: the Albuquerque Isotopes, and the Modesto Nuts. Both are in the same bracket, and should each win their first-round matchup, they’d face each other in the second round, so… the chances of the Rockies winnin’ this thing ain’t great.

But it’s fun, right? And in the midst of a ten-game losing streak, we need to have some fun, right? Somebody? Anybody?

So go vote in their contest. They are going to run each round for a few days, with the whole thing being decided by May 26. Maybe the Rockies will win something, right? Haha who am I kidding, probably not.

If I’m voting (which I did), I’m going for the Daytona Tortugas all the way, man. Sea turtles are awesome.
