Dick Monfort will be in Albuquerque and meeting with local media (including me) Friday afternoon at an undisclosed location. If you could ask Mr. Monfort, what would it be? Leave them in the comments and I will ask as many as I can.

John Lannan is back! Left-handed pitcher John Lannan is one that many Rockies fans are watching if the starting rotation in Colorado can’t get things figured out. Lannan had been on fire, pitching 13.0 innings allowing nine hits, one run, four walks and nine strikeouts, before going down with a back muscle strain, 13 days ago. He’s still looking for his first win while shining a 0.69 ERA. He will start tonight, April 30th, against the hot hitting Salt Lake Bees (LAA Angels).

UPDATE: Lannan WILL NOT start tonight! From Josh Suchon of the Albuquerque Isotopes Broadcast

Returning with Lannan is “Catcher” Matt McBride, who will be starting in Right Field tonight. He went on the disabled list on the 15th of April with a strained right oblique. McBride is listed at Catcher but with a crowded catching position, he has mostly played at first and in the outfield, like tonight. He has been off to a slow start before getting injured. In six games, he was batting .174 with four runs scored, two doubles and a homer.

Some other notes of interest in tonights lineup: Wilin Rosario continues his residency at first base, Kyle Parker and Brandon Barnes both find time in the outfield tonight and thankfully the Bees are an American League Farm Club, so hot hitting Ben Paulsen finds a home at DH.

To make space, Left-hander Carlos Hernandez was sent to Double-A New Britain, and infielder Jose Rivera was transferred to the Short-A Boise roster. Hernandez started two games for Albuquerque, going 1-0 with a 4.09 ERA, while Rivera claimed a .133 batting average in eight games.
