Now that you’ve seen a few weeks of the season, we want to know what you think: who will win the National League West? Who’s the best team in the division? And can the Rockies stay in it all year, or is a fade inevitable?

More from Colorado Rockies News

The Colorado Rockies have impressed me – and I think, probably most of us – by the way they have played thus far this season. The lineup hits from top to bottom with the breakout of DJ LeMahieu early on, the pitching staff has been, well, OK, and the bullpen looks pretty solid.

Sure, the club has had their losing streaks, and also their hot periods where it seems like they can’t lose, but whenever you’re play at-or-above .500 baseball, especially with the expanded playoff system, you’re probably going to get a shot at something in the final month or two of the season.

Remember, this is a team that was universally deadpanned by the national baseball experts, often picked to finish as one of the very worst teams in all of Major League Baseball before the season began.

But then again, May is never kind to the Rockies. And neither is June. Both months see the club bust hard, lose their April momentum, and take themselves out of the running for any playoff hopes with seventy or eighty games let to play in the season. That’s bad.

So now that we’ve all seen nearly 20 games, let’s ask the question: who’s the best in the NL West? Who will win the division after each club gets 140+ more tries at it this summer? Who do you like to represent the division in the playoffs?
