The Rockies (53-77) look to cool off the red-hot San Diego Padres (62-71) tonight at Coors Field. The Padres have won 10 of their last 11 games, and have had back-to-back winning months, including going 18-10 in August. Trying to buck the trend tonight is Rockies hurler Jhoulys Chacin (1-4, 5.55 ERA). In his last start against the Chicago Cubs on August 26, he went 5 innings with only 1 ER but got zero offensive support in a 5-0 rain-shortened loss. Prior to that game on August 21 against the New York Mets, Chacin went 6 innings with 4 hits and only 1 ER in a 6-2 Rockies victory. Chacin in his career against the Padres is 1-1 with a 2.50 ERA in 3 starts, all at home.
