The Rockies will attempt to do something today that has been rare in 2012, with a victory over the Brewers this afternoon Colorado will sweep a series for the second time this season, the only other series sweep came at home in a four game set against the Astros to end May, that was also the last time this team has won more than two games in a row.

Guillermo Moscoso will be called up to make the start today and not only is win-less on the season, the Rockies has lost all ten games he has pitched in. Moscoso gets the spot start in place of Drew Pomeranz who has been pushed back to Sunday with chest soreness. Moscoso  comes into the game with a 8.23 ERA over 27 1/3 MLB innings including an ERA of 11.57 in two starts. in 16 starts at Triple-A Colorado Springs he is 8-5 with a 6.25 ERA. Mark Rogers makes his fourth start of 2012 and the sixth of his career, entering the game with a 0-1 record and a 4.08 ERA. Rogers has left two of his three starts with the lead, but has had the bullpen blow both games. In his last start he pitched seven innings, giving up one run and three hits while striking out eight.
