The Rockies have traded Marco Scutaro to our division rival the San Francisco Giants for AAA infielder Charlie Culberson and cash considerations. Scutaro finishes with the Rockies with a .271 average (101-373), 101 hits, 4 HR, 30 RBI and .324 OBP in 94 games. Scutaro has stated that he would like to come back to the Rockies as a free agent.

So far this year for AAA Fresno Grizzlies, in 90 games Culberson has a .236 average, 10 HR, 53 RBI, 19 walks, 76 strikeouts and a .281 OBP.
It will be interesting to see what other moves are made before Tuesday’s trade deadline.
I grew up in Melbourne Australia who was bred as a big sports nut. I moved to Denver, CO in 2001 and became an immediate fan of the Colorado Rockies and Coors Field became my second home. I have been through the tough times and I attended the World Series Games at Coors in 2007. Though I no longer live in Denver I love this team just as much!
