Rockies Line-up, July 3 2012

In the bizarro world that is 2012, Jeff Francis has become arguably the best starter currently in the Rockies rotation. Colorado has only lost one game of the five which Francis has started, including four wins a row. In his last three starts Francis has only given up 3 runs with 9 strikeouts and one walk over 16 innings good for a 1.69 ERA. This will be the 10th career start for Francis against the Cardinals, he is 5-1 with a 3.05 ERA in his career. The Cardinals will send out rookie Joe Kelly making his fifth career start. Kelly is 1-0 with a 3.38 ERA and has not given up more than three runs in any of his previous starts.

Dexter Fowler sits again tonight with what is being reported as a sore left lat. Todd Helton returns after getting two games off.
