Rockies Line-up, May 23 2012

This game doesn’t seems to need much analysis, Colorado is really bad right now, Miami is playing well. Two games with first inning leads of four and three runs for the Rockies have led to two wins by the Marlins this series as the Rockies attempt to avoid being swept for two consecutive series. Colorado is tied for last in the Majors in wins and are 14.5 games back of the Dodgers. Alex White starts for Colorado and has lost all three of his 2012 starts. White pitched well in his last start, giving up three runs, two earned, with a career high seven strikeouts, but the Rockies provided him with exactly zero runs of support in getting shut out by Kevin Millwood. Carlos Zambrano goes for the fish, and has been strong so far in 2012. He has an unlucky record of 2-2 with a 1.96 ERA, in six of his eight starts he has allowed two or less runs. Zambrano has not started a game against Colorado since 2007 and is 2-4 in his career against the Rockies.

None of the Rockies have had much success against Zambrano, Ramon Hernandez is 3-15, Troy Tulowitzki is 0-6. Dexter Fowler sits today after getting pinch hit for last night, Eric Young, Jr. gets his fourth start of 2012. Jordan Pacheco comes in with a eight game hitting streak.
