Rockies Line-up, April 29 2012

The Rockies look to avoid falling below the .500 mark and build some momentum in the series finale against the Mets, heading into a series with the N.L. West leading Dodgers that starts Monday. Jamie Moyer will try and continue his early season success, Moyer has arguably been the Rockies best starter coming in with a team leading 2.23 ERA. His 1-2 record is a combination of a lack of run support and a bullpen meltdown. Johan Santana will take the hill for the Mets, attempting to earn his first victory since 2010. Santana will make his 5th start of 2012 after missing all of 2011, and appears to be back in form after striking out 11 Marlins while giving up only 3 hits over 6 2/3 innings in his last start. This will be the third time Santana will face the Rockies in his career and he is 2-0 over 16 innings with 18 strikeouts, zero runs allowed and one complete game shutout, however this will be the first time Santana will pitch in Coors Field.

For the Rockies Dexter Fowler moves back into the second spot after hitting 8th the last two games. Todd Helton gets his customary Sunday day off with Jason Giambi playing first, and Chris Nelson is back at third after missing a couple games with a wrist injury.
