According to the Denver Post, Colorado Springs Sky Sox first baseman Mike Jacobs has been suspended indefinitely for using the banned Human Growth Hormone substance.
No word on his return, though it likely won’t be this season. This comes nearly a year after Sky Sox infielder Omar Quintanilla was suspended 50 games for banned substance use. Quintanilla is no longer with the Sky Sox.
The Sky Sox are currently last in the Pacific Coast League Pacific North Division with a record of 56-69, 11.5 games behind the division-leading Reno Aces, the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
