Today’s (Second) Matchup – May 24th, 2011

The Rockies broke out the bats for a 12-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 1 of Tuesday’s twinbill.

Between the two, Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki had six RBIs, Seth Smith had a two-run double, Dexter Fowler had a two-RBI triple, and Jonathan Herrera and Todd Helton each added an RBI of their own.

CarGo had two home runs, and Seth Smith added a round-tripper of his own.

What a time for a nice offensive clinic. Let’s hope the Rockies can do it again in the nightcap.
