Today’s Matchup – May 24, 2011

Let’s play two!

Maybe.

It’s pouring rain at Coors Field, mixed in with lightning and thunder. So, basically, it’s Rockies weather!

It’s going to be tough to get two games in today, but the Rockies need to make up their Opening Week series game with Arizona, which, not surprisingly, was rained out.

Jorge De La Rosa takes the mound for Game 1, and the Rockies actually stand a chance of winning this one today as he has been the workhorse of the team so far in 2011. Dexter Fowler and Jonathan Herrera have flip-flopped in the lineup. Manager Jim Tracy really has nothing to lose by shuffling the lineup, as the Rockies still are looking for the offensive spark to get the entire team on the same page.

CarGo and Tulo, take notes.

Here’s today’s lineup for Game 1 of the twinbill.

Game #46: Josh Collmenter (3-0, 0.69 ERA) vs. Jorge De La Rosa (5-2, 3.34 ERA)
