Today’s Matchup – May 20, 2011

Apologies for the lack of posts Thursday.

Jason Giambi gets the start at first after a career night in Philadelphia last night, and Jason Hammel looks to continue his solid start to the 2011 season and earn his fourth victory of the year tonight against Zack Greinke and the Milwaukee Brewers. Carlos Gonzalez has been given a day off to rest his ailing groin muscle, which he aggravated last night, and Todd Helton has also been given the day off to rest his back.

Giambi had three home runs last night and seven RBIs, the first time in his career he’s had three round-trippers and the second time in his illustrious career he’s had seven RBIs. He singlehandedly beat the Phillies, while Jorge De La Rosa pitched beautifully to hold the Phillies to only one run.

Here are tonight’s lineups.
