Site5 and FanSided Holiday Season Charity Drive

facebooktwitterreddit

In the true spirit of the Holidays, FanSided has teamed up with Site5 – our fantastic hosting company – for a charity drive benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of America. The BGCA is dedicated to helping children and relies heavily on sports to achieve this goal. It is a perfect fit and a great cause that we can all get behind. We realize how fortunate we are here with the FanSided family and our tremendous hosting company (Site5), and because of that, we are making it a point to give back this year. If you feel like this is a worthy cause – and you should – please help out in any way you can. Our goal this year is $5000, but even the smallest of donations will go a long way. Tulo grew a glorious mullet for the sake of the kids. What are you going to do?

Here is a great video about the Denver branch of the BGCA:

Happy Holidays everyone, and in case you care, here are some things that I am thankful for this season:

In three of the past four seasons, the Rockies have played meaningful games in September. We can’t take that for granted.

April is only four months away.

Tulo and CarGo. Even though we’ve gotten a little lazy with the nicknames, these guys are truly great and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us in 2011.

This website. I’ve really enjoyed this first month of running the Rox Pile and I appreciate the opportunity that FanSided has given me.

Friends and family

And most of all, my loving, devoted, beautiful, and supportive wife. Without her, I would be lost and none of this would be possible. This is an overused phrase, but it certainly holds true in our marriage: she is my rock.
